Interesting Times

Look at the very limited (and sometimes obscene) choices available in this survey from the Jerusalem Post.

Any Israeli Jew or Arab that opposes "Operation Cast Lead" would be entirely unable to make his or her opinions known by means of this.

Surely this must be part of Israel's emergency PR campaign, making widely known a very limited selection of views from Israel through "major media around the world".

What should be Israel's main goal in Gaza? 

[ ]   Get the hell out immediately, without causing any more death and destruction, then agree to return to pre-1967 borders, acknowledge Palestine's right to exist, relinquish control of Palestinian borders and airspace, relinquish control of all parts of Palestine (including Israeli settlements) to Palestine, honor safe and free passage through the corridor linking Gaza and the West Bank, honor Palestinian refugees' right of return and behave like decent human beings. The creation of Israel is what created these tragic problems in the first place. If those who have been displaced and oppressed by the state of Israel are willing to allow the thieves of their lands and their lives to retain part of what was stolen in exchange for promises not to steal any more or murder any more, why not humbly and gratefully accept their largesse and try to reform your national character?  

Who should control the Gaza Strip? 

[  ]  Whoever the majority of Palestinians have voted for and support 

Should the IDF launch a ground operation? 

[  ]  Only if it's a ground operation to rush in emergency medical supplies and to help get the injured to hospitals

Has your opinion of Defense Minister Barak changed following the successful start of the operation? 

What is your opinion of foreign news coverage of the operation?

[  ]  Much improved, at least when it comes to anti-Palestinian bias.

[  ]  Nothing has changed, the foreign press is still pro-Israel.
