Tzipi Livni shrugged off the criticism of Israel's bombing of structures near the Islamic College in Gaza, being heard throughout the academic world.
As easily as she dismisses criticism of the destruction of a school, she also dismisses the creation of a Palestinian state, the Palestinian right of return, international calls to stop settlement building and Olmert's call for return to 1967 borders. And the above shrug was followed by this swift kick:

And you can see Israel's (and America's) "life sciences" in action in the Gaza Strip today! White phosphorus! Depleted uranium! Hellfire missiles! Here's to "life sciences" and the culture of life - Israeli-style! All those Pali's know is death, right? Must be one of Israel's PR talking points because the same thing keeps cropping up in defense of Israel, including this from Barry Rubin: "Israel uses its time not only for military preparations but to educate its children, build its infrastructure, raise its living standards. Hamas doesn't. 'We believe in death,' Hamas says, 'You believe in life.'" So here's to life! Here come the F-16s and drones and helicopters and warships and tanks. LeChaim!
Israel's foreign minister called the Gaza operation "a necessary war on terror" adding that "We don't sign agreements with terror; we fight terror," during a news conference Monday afternoon in Jerusalem. [source]
But you are terror. You are using military might to terrorize citizens into changing who they support politically. You are sending them the message that they are only allowed to support who you support - agents of Israel who will sell out their own people to give Israel the time and space to continue creating new "facts on the ground" so that no true 2-state solution is possible and Palestinians will have no choice other than to resist and die or give up and go away because Israel will not allow one democratic state for everybody.
Israel's foreign ministry quoted Livni as having said in a statement during a trip to Paris that "there is no humanitarian crisis in the [Gaza] Strip, and therefore there is no need for a humanitarian truce." [source]
Perhaps she thinks there are no humans in the Gaza Strip. Everyone else knows there has been a humanitarian crisis there for some time due to Israel's grip on it and it is being greatly worsened by this latest assault.
Amid the diplomatic efforts, Tzipi Livni, the Israeli foreign minister, insisted Monday that Israel was "not only defending its right to defend itself" but was also waging a regional campaign "against extremism and against terror." [source]
So, Israel is carrying out "Operation Cast Lead" to defend its right to defend itself (i.e. its right to exist as a thieving, murdering, racist state) and is using extremism and terror in a campaign against extremism and terror. They admit they are not actually defending themselves as what they are doing will not increase their security at all, but they are defending their right to do what they are doing even though what they are doing doesn?t do any good and actually makes things worse for everyone. Also, they do not see Palestinians as having the same rights to exist and to defend and to do what they are doing even though it won?t do any good. This is pure insanity and what it means is that Israel lost before it even began. Truly. It is self-defeating and self-defeated. It has nullified its own imagined rights by nullifying the exact same rights of others and it has nullified any supposed fight against extremism and terror by using extremism and terror.

Israel keeps trying to draw a line between Hamas and Gazans, saying they are not targeting or fighting Gazans, only Hamas, even though Hamas was democratically elected to power. I guess they also have not been starving Gazans, only starving Hamas, and have not been choking the economic development of Gazans, only Hamas (even before there was a Hamas!). Israel (and it?s America) will not allow Hamas or Gaza to be part of the "free world". (Free as in no more outside absolute contol over airspace and seaspace and crossings and economy?) Israel won't even allow them to keep a ceasefire. Yes, Israel broke the truce first and even earlier than mainstream sources are finally acknowledging - on the first day it was supposed to go into effect - but Hamas kept trying to sustain it until the time was up while Israel kept provoking responses from various Gazan groups, creating a miserable "justification" for the massacre they were planning all along.
Israel also tries to draw a line between itself and Hamas - we are legitimate, they are not; our fight is legitimate, theirs is not; our government is legitimate, theirs is not; our terrorism is justifiable, theirs is not. Somebody call "bullshit" already.
Here is what Israel?s attitude and actions lead to (bearing in mind that Israel started all this with it's longstanding campaign of genocide and ethnic cleansing against Palestinians so that it could have a "democratic" of-the-Jews, by-the-Jews and for-the-Jews state on Palestinian land):
"We salute the resistance men," al-Zahar said in a televised address from an undisclosed location in Gaza.
"They [Israeli forces] shelled everyone in Gaza ... they shelled children and hospitals and mosques and in doing so, they gave us legitimacy to strike them in the same way," he said.
He is right to salute the resistance men, but he is wrong that what Israel has done gives Hamas (or anyone) legitimacy to do the same. Our Creator does not give us that right and it is not for us to claim what has not been given us by our Creator. Those who are obedient to their Creator, and those who have any shred of goodness in them, do not kill children and other civilians (with or without "targeting" them) even if they are in the "wrong place at the wrong time". They do not harm places of worship or hospitals or cultivated fields and groves or drinking water. They find other ways to fulfill their right and obligation to fight those who oppress them and have turned them out of their homes (which Israel has done and continues doing to Palestinians).
Israel is claiming that they have the right to kill civilians by virtue of the fact that they do not target civilians. What?! Palestinian freedom fighters, please, do not fall into the trap that has been laid for you and similarly claim you have the right to target Israel's civilians by virtue of the fact that Israel kills yours. If you do, there will be no "side" for us (who support the right of Palestine to exist and the right of Palestinians to defend themselves and the right of Palestinians to return) to "choose" (according to Tzipi's instructions) because both sides will be the same and all will be lost.
The Global War OF Terror which terrorist nations evoke in place after place to destroy all resistance to their hegemony will eventually be defeated by truth and justice and integrity (not the empty words and pretentious masks but the real deal), God willing, and that is the side we must choose, that is the side we must be on, whatever illusion of success the terrorists may enjoy meanwhile. We are not terrorists and we cannot allow them to turn us into terrorists.
It is too bad for Tzipi Livni that she has made the wrong choice, that she has chosen to support and encourage the terrorist actions of a terrorist state. If one must effectively, in all but name, become a terrorist in order to fight, and possibly win, the so-called War on Terror (created by terrorists for terrorists) then perhaps it is better to be killed, better to die refusing to become the enemy than to have to live with oneself as the enemy. But only for those of conscience. Those without can do whatever they like and rarely are they strongly opposed or called by their true names - sociopaths, psychopaths, terrorists. Our governments and militaries and corporations are headed by them; they get where they are because they are not afraid to do "whatever it takes".
Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni met with Tony Blair, envoy of the Quartet on the Middle East, in Jerusalem on Monday and told him that "the Quartet has set clear conditions for the recognition of Hamas, and the organization is not acting according to them."
Hamas has also set clear conditions for the recognition of Israel which Israel is not acting according to nor is even willing to acknowledge or discuss because that wouldn't give Israel what it wants which is, not peace and not partners in peace, but Eretz Yisrael and complete domination of the Middle East and beyond.
Livni added that "facing the Hamas terror that Israel is fighting, and with the moderates in the region, Israel wants to hold a dialogue. In order for there to be a political horizon here, we must fight the terror." In response Blair [responding with a one-liner of his own] said, "Peace can come only when there is quiet in the region, and we will do whatever it takes to bring this quiet." [source]
"Whatever it takes". Even genocide. "Whatever it takes". As long as it doesn't involve granting Palestinians the same rights as Israelis - the right to exist, the right of self-defense, the right of real sovereignty, the right of return. "Whatever it takes" is only ok for Israel and whoever else the US and UK grant permission; it does not apply to the struggle of Palestinians. They are required to play by entirely different rules.
Strange. The more our mealy-mouthed leaders talk, the more we may feel like throwing more than our shoes at their heads. Is it not time for a Global Intifada? Is it not past time? The sham Global War On Terror and its "same old" pseudo-justifications repeated ad nauseum demand it.
How will we respond?

Contrary to the few urls given in the Pakistani government notification (PTA orders blockade of political webpages, discussion forums ) DictatorshipWatch has been completely blocked in Pakistan. Governor Salman Taseer and his editor Najam Sethi were used as tools and an excuse. The real people who felt hurt because of this site were Rehman Malik, Hussain Haqqani, Zardari and company.
It seems useless to suggest to someone who can’t access the site. However, the site can be accessed through http://hiddenpath.info/ . It only requires pasting url to DW [http://www.dictatorshipwatch.com] on the address bar provided on the this and clicking the browse button.

Look at the very limited (and sometimes obscene) choices available in this survey from the Jerusalem Post.
Any Israeli Jew or Arab that opposes "Operation Cast Lead" would be entirely unable to make his or her opinions known by means of this.
Surely this must be part of Israel's emergency PR campaign, making widely known a very limited selection of views from Israel through "major media around the world".

U.S. intelligence was caught off-guard by Lashkar-e-Taiba's "highly sophisticated" Mumbai terror strikes last month, which top spies now consider the debut of a new "brand name" to rival Al Qaeda.
US intelligence was caught off guard? What happened to U.S. Warned India In October Of Potential Attack? The dubious high praise that has been lavished on the Mumbai terror strikes is obviously the involved intelligence agencies' way of patting themselves on the back - "highly sophisticated", "superb" - over the success of their "debut of a new 'brand name'" in terror. But what about it's initial creation and testmarketing?
The Islamist group was formed with Pakistani government help decades ago, but U.S. officials admit underestimating Lashkar's shift from waging a minor conflict in the Kashmir region to threatening Westerners and Jews.
Seems they are conveniently forgetting to mention US (and UK) involvement with LeT which, if we are reminded to think about at all, we are supposed to believe ended with the defeat of the Soviet Union in Afghanistan. And you have to love their feigned suprise as their product is taken from the "minor" Kashmiri test market (the unimportant people) to its introduction in the wider world market of Westerners and Jews (you know - the important people who will determine the success or failure of the product):
Navy Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the military's Joint Chiefs of Staff, said Lashkar - which once focused on the India-Pakistan fight over Kashmir - hit a "new threshold" of terror by killing Americans, Brits and Jews.
"They specifically targeted a Jewish center that was off the main drag," Mullen recently told reporters. "It raises this outfit to a much higher level than where it was before."
There you have it: the testmarket of Pakistanis, Kashmiris and Indians was small-time. But introducing the product to the American, British and Jewish consumers took it to a whole "new threshold" - a "much higher level". It's important to know who you need to impress in matters such as this, if you want your product to be competitive and have real impact. Well, the LeT brand was well-received and shows great promise as an up-and-coming rival to al Qaeda -
Ex-CIA analyst Michael Scheuer declared it "a superb operation."
- but other market analysts are maintaining a wait and see attitude:
"There is real concern over the fact LeT has raised its profile," a U.S. counterterror official told the Daily News. "A lot of people are watching closely now to see if they're plotting new attacks."
New attacks that will again take those in the know by "suprise" as though they are just as unaware as are we consumers? I guess that is the secret of success in the terrorism business - making sure no one knows who owns the biggest shares in the companies. So how will they keep this new brand fresh and in the spotlight? Will there be a big export market for it or will it remain mainly for domestic consumption (with a minority of guest Americans, Brits and Jews whose 'targeted' importance far outweighs that of the majority around them, of course)?
Americans and Jews now face greater danger from Lashkar overseas, officials said.
"There are a lot of tourists in South Asia, and there's really not a lot we can do," Scheuer said.
"The question," said another intelligence official, "is whether Mumbai is a 'one-off' or if such operations could be sustained."
Reliable sources have it, however, that this is definitely the next big thing. If you liked al Qaeda, you'll love Lashkar-e-Taiba. So be prepared for a massive marketing offensive and a mushrooming of geo-strategic franchises. Then again, the corporate giants of terrorism who are behind these exciting brand names (the terrorists behind the terrorists or "double-terrorists") may go the more subtle route and tease us all for a while, keeping us on the edge of our seats and willing to give up more and more of the safeguards of our imagined democratic liberties; or maybe it will even be allowed to fizzle. It's anybody's guess for now.

Mukherjee said the Mumbai attacks "reflect the extent to which the terrorists have spread their network in the neighbouring country".He also hinted that Pakistani agencies may have "assisted the Mumbai terrorists".
Mukherjee noted that "multiple centres of power" had emerged in Pakistan.
India May Still Strike at Pakistan: US Report [bolding added]
19 December 2008NEW DELHI: India may have ruled out the military option against Pakistan in the aftermath of Mumbai terror attacks but the international intelligence community continues to believe that strikes in PoK and elsewhere could still happen. ( Watch )
Global intelligence service Stratfor, in its latest report, said, "Indian military operations against targets in Pakistan have in fact been prepared and await the signal to go forward."
It added, "These most likely would take the form of unilateral precision strikes inside Pakistan-administered Kashmir, along with special forces action on the ground in Pakistan proper."

"Sources have indicated to Stratfor that New Delhi is going through the diplomatic motions in order to give Pakistan the opportunity to take care of the militant problem itself but the Indians know that Islamabad has neither the will nor the capability to address their concerns," Stratfor said.Three weeks after the attacks, India has gone out of its way to reassure everyone that it is not thinking of military action on Pakistan. This was most recently conveyed by Indian high commissioner to Pakistan Satyabrata Pal to Awami National Party chief Afsandyar Wali Khan in Islamabad earlier this week. But India continues to tell all its international interlocutors that its patience will not last long, particularly if Islamabad cannot crack down on terrorism.
India's actions thus far have been to build a kind of international consensus that the attacks were sourced in Pakistan. It has led to a huge spurt in international pressure on Pakistan to ?do more? to combat terrorism. Almost every member of the international community also believes that the next attack in India would see the gloves come off.
But everybody knows that Pakistan's civilian government is unable to take any steps to curb terrorists and the military establishment is unwilling to do so.
"From a strategic perspective, the Indian government can no more afford to accept the Mumbai attacks and move forward than the US government could have afforded to ignore the 9/11 attacks. New Delhi has little choice but to respond - regardless of which political party is in power - and because the perpetrators are linked to elements within the Pakistani state, the response must be directed against Pakistan. And if Islamabad will not cooperate in controlling the militants, India will have to take unilateral action," Stratfor said.
It explained that India knew strikes in Pakistan would not eliminate the terrorist threat, "but that would not be the aim of any such operation". It added, "Instead, India has to communicate firmly that it will no longer tolerate attacks from Pakistan-based militants whether they are rogue or approved by the state. Failure to do so risks emboldening the Islamists and their enablers, as well as a domestic political backlash. The Indian government could not live with either of those outcomes."
Pakistan 'linked to 75% of all UK terror plots', warns Gordon Brown [bolding added]

"Three quarters of the most serious plots investigated by the British authorities have links to al-Qaeda in Pakistan," said Mr Brown in a press conference alongside Mr Zardari in the presidential palace in Islamabad. "The time has come for action, not words."
Speaking just a few hours after meeting Manmohan Singh, the Indian Prime Minister, in Delhi, Mr Brown also formally declared for the first time that Britain backs India's assertion that Lashkar-e-Taiba, a Pakistani militant group with links to Pakistan's military-run spy agency, carried out the Mumbai attack.

That's what they're saying. Obviously they are trying to build an airtight case against Pakistan, in public opinion if nowhere else, filtering out all conflicting information that points elsewhere and about which much has been written by independent analysts and reporters. This is something that was also done in the buildup to invasion of Afghanistan after 9/11 in the US. But why?
Consider the possibility that now, as then, someone is playing the world for fools, playing us against each other in the guise of the Global War on Terror, and, in the real war that it masks, Pakistan is a high-value target. Consider who the real terrorists are and you will understand the source of real terrorism. In the face of this constant propaganda building up to increased "anti-terrorist" terrorism, we need constant reminders to counteract the poison being spread, reminders such as the following:

Comment on "India May Still Strike at Pakistan: US Report"
19 December 2008Let one thing be crystal clear: Pakistan is the high value target. It has to be neutralized and if possible balkanized. There are several ways to achieve this goal. However, softening Pakistan is the most effective way to go about it.
For softening up Pakistan, the US used Mush for 8 years and then brought a kind of government in place which is worse than Musharraf's in many ways.
To keep the puppet regime in Islamabad in power, the US has to keep the heat on both on eastern and western borders of Pakistan so that the opposition parties don't have time to throw the criminals and thugs out of power.
So the Indian threats and most probably the planned 'surgical' strikes will achieve multi-pronged objectives, including 1) weakening the country; 2) bringing down moral of its military forces, 3) keeping the puppet regime in power and 4) paving the way for wider war in which the US will wait from the sidelines and use India like Iraq against Afghanistan.
The fundamentalist Hindus are going to become cannon fodder in the US and Israel's long awaited war on Pakistan. The US will use its forces when it sees much of the damage has done and enough of Pakistanis and Indians have been sacrificed at the altar of Zionist and neocons warlords.

It is urgent that people in both nations begin to appreciate what's at stake so that each may initiate proper self-defense against accurately identified hidden dangers from the overt katputli tamashas.
The following News Flash is Project Humanbeingsfirst's position on this manufactured terror. To appreciate it, please study the methods of Rand Corporation, CFR, Zbigniew Brzezinski, et. al., and acquire an understanding of the notion of world-government. Political science runs the world, and the children of Machiavelli are deeply rooted in waging war by way of deception - a game of conquest "as old as mankind". From the East India Company to Free Trade to the War on Terror - all enablers of pretexts for "imperial mobilization" and "full spectrum dominance". In the West, typically, the smartest students study humanities and social sciences, and the think-tanks as well as the Pentagon are populated with scores of PhDs in political science and history. What do you think they do there? What do you think they do at the Ford and Rockefeller Foundations, and the Carnegie Endowment for Peace? How about at CFR and RIIA? They are united in one common global agenda ? world government. And they get there by shrewdly employing the overarching political science concept articulated by David Ben Gurion "what is inconceivable in normal times is possible in revolutionary times"!
Therefore, please don't blame the Hindus or ISI or Jihadis - patsies and mercenaries come in all stripes, ethnic origin, and social class. And the best recruits for patsies are always those who have grievances or are disgruntled. The best recruits for mercenaries are the ruling-elite, politicians, and military men. In both cases they know very little, in fact often zero, and are merely the "trigger pullers" of average intelligence. Instead, look for those "ubermensch" who employ them. To do so, one has to understand the agendas, and what scheme of things is really being enacted on the world-stage. The existence of the poor threatens the disproportionately privileged collective Western and American Way of Life (AWOL). Their misery is, in effect, inevitably and forcefully imposed as a trade-off enabling AWOL affluence. Genuine democracy (self-determination) and true justice for the majority of the world's people are not tolerated by political/economic systems such as ours, so totally dependent upon exploitation of public resources and human labor to assure maximization of private profits for the few.
The sick mindset of the double terrorists

9 July 2005If anything positive may emerge from the July 7 tragedy in London it is the growing realization that the terrorists and those who claim to be fighting a "war on terrorism" are just one and the same people. For this reason we must resolve to expose the enemies of freedom and never give up to the hollow rhetoric of freedom and democracy on the part of double-terrorists.
Believing in their statements of mass deception or even staying silent in the face of their ever increasing lies sends the message to the double-terrorists and their allies that their terrorism upon terrorism works in favor of their totalitarian designs and so makes further atrocities at home and abroad more likely.
Therefore we must take this opportunity to realize that the perpetrators on the bombing in London and Iraq and Afghanistan are using well trained armies to commit terrorism abroad and well trained secret agents to commit terrorism at home for additional support for terrorism abroad.While the terrorists are fighting in the name of freedom and democracy and that definitely has merit, the intentional invasions and occupations on the basis of lies, the intentional killing of innocent people and the intentional establishment of countless concentration camps is never justifiable as means to promote the stated cause. The democratic terrorists should have learned from the failure of Communism that the end does not justify the means.
We will never be able to see an end to terrorism because the double-terrorists are the perpetrators: the real culprits. They then become the judge, the prosecutor and also declare a "war on terrorism." Very very strange indeed: we are facing mass deception of an unprecedented scale in human history.
A mere realization of this reality is enough to neutralize terrorist practices by preventing them from attaining their totalitarian designs in the short run. In the long run, they are going to take themselves out of steam with their own hands. No one is militarily so strong to defeat them. However, they digging a deep hole for themselves with the belief that they can continue to lie, cheat and fool the world indefinitely.
Thus, the categorical condemnation of this double-terrorism would go a long way towards its elimination. We need to expose and defeat the mindset that promotes and sustains this bloody game of double terrorism....we are facing terrorism upon terrorism from the double-terrorists. No amount of silence or surrendering our rights to real freedom and self-determination will prevent them from striking at home and abroad with the twin objectives of consolidating police state at home[2] and puppet regimes abroad.

A Monologue on Hope and Voluntary Servitude

September 2008...after concluding that all tyranny rests on popular consent, La Boetie eloquently concludes that "obviously there is no need of fighting to overcome this single tyrant, for he is automatically defeated if the country refuses consent to its own enslavement." Tyrants need not be expropriated by force; they need only be deprived of the public's continuing supply of funds and resources. The more one yields to tyrants, La Boetie points out, the stronger and mightier they become. But if the tyrants "are simply not obeyed," they become "undone and as nothing." La Boetie then exhorts the "poor, wretched, and stupid peoples" to cast off their chains by refusing to supply the tyrant any further with the instruments of their own oppression. The tyrant, indeed, has nothing more than the power that you confer upon him to destroy you. Where has he acquired enough eyes to spy upon you, if you do not provide them yourselves? How can he have so many arms to beat you with, if he does not borrow them from you? The feet that trample down your cities, where does he get them if they are not your own? How does he have any power over you except through you? How would he dare assail you if he had not cooperation from you?
La Boetie concludes his exhortation by assuring the masses that to overthrow the tyrant they need not act, nor shed their blood. They can do so "merely by willing to be free." In short,
"Resolve to serve no more, and you are at once freed. I do not ask that you place hands upon the tyrant to topple him over, but simply that you support him no longer; then you will behold him, like a great Colossus whose pedestal has been pulled away, fall of his own weight and break in pieces."
...What prevents La Boetie's prescription today when the same principle exemplarily brought down the majesty of the British Empire in its own Jewel in the Crown less than four score years past?
The answer must remain the same as during La Boetie's time " the threshold of the masses" tolerance hasn't been crossed yet - the poor among mankind having been endowed with infinite patience and eternal hope! It is this "hope", and man's misplaced optimism due to it, that primarily enables one's "Voluntary Servitude". Therefore, despite the simple mechanism of overthrowing it - albeit only collectively - being quite naturally available to man as rationally demonstrated by Boetie, "hope" perniciously incapacitates him.

And what appears to hasten or preempt man's natural threshold for bearing infinite pain due to his infantile lingering "hope" for better times, is always inspiring leadership! Leaders courageous enough to boldly assert "enough", with a vision and a plan, before that inevitable turning-point can be naturally reached when only the uncontrolled mob with nothing more to lose takes over - as it did in the French Revolution which subsequently spawned the tyranny of Napoleon!
...
Finally, one can rightfully claim, that there is little difference between the peoples of America, and the peoples of Pakistan - united they do stand in "hope" and inaction for a better tomorrow, as the rich plunderers laugh their way to the bank!...it is quite evident that it is mainly the deprivation of "hope" that enables one to abandon "Voluntary Servitude". Be it towards the despondency of the weak, and hence they perish. Or be it towards the assertion of fight-back by the strong - who have had it up to their neck and are not willing to take it anymore as they are going to perish anyway, who are left with no hope of being rescued by anyone else and have nothing further to lose by standing up - by their minimally copying the instinctive behavior [45] of the free animals! The courageous history of mankind is evidence that it is only when there is no hope of rescue, or of the suffocating conditions ameliorating, that "Voluntary Servitude" ends!
This was indeed the premise behind the famous speech given by Patrick Henry on March 23, 1775 [46] when he hath proclaimed: "Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!"

Only a year later, the intimate realization that "There is no longer any room for hope", led to a Declaration which today, surely still resonates, albeit mutely, in the hearts of some, and sends a winter's chill down the spine of every despot and demagogue:
...We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. - That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, - That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.
But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.
Wherefore such a people? Only whence bereft of hope, and only when courageously led! Or at least, that is what the empirical history of mankind suggests.

In a brief post yesterday, I wrote that African-Americans were treated as second-class citizens in the United States. I would now like to apologize for making such a controversial - and flagrantly incorrect - statement. Obviously, I was letting my knee-jerk liberal PC prejudices run wild. For as a new article in The Nation forcefully demonstrates, African-Americans are not treated as second-class citizens in the United States; they are treated as wild animals to be hunted down and shot in cold blood.The article is a very detailed investigation of the white vigilante groups that formed, with police approval, in the white enclave of Algiers Point in New Orleans in the days after Hurrican Katrina. Although authorities had designated the area - which had largely escaped damage in the storm and flood - as a vital evacuation point for those trapped in the city, a group of white residents seized the opportunity to declare open season on anyone with black skin. Many African-Americans were shot and several were killed; but no one knows the exact number, because New Orleans police have refused to investigate any of the incidents, and coroner's records of the gun-blasted bodies that showed up in the area have unaccountably gone missing.
Many of the shooters have been quite open - even boastful - of their activities, and of their certainty that they will never be prosecuted. As the Nation?s A.C. Thompson reports:[Militia member Wayne Janak is] equally blunt in Welcome to New Orleans, an hourlong documentary produced by the Danish video team, who captured Janak, beer in hand, gloating about hunting humans. Surrounded by a crowd of sunburned white Algiers Point locals at a barbeque held not long after the hurricane, he smiles and tells the camera, "It was great! It was like pheasant season in South Dakota. If it moved, you shot it." A native of Chicago, Janak also boasts of becoming a true Southerner, saying, "I am no longer a Yankee. I earned my wings." A white woman standing next to him adds, "He understands the N-word now." In this neighborhood, she continues, "we take care of our own."
"Some of the gunmen prowling Algiers Point were out to wage a race war, says one woman whose uncle and two cousins joined the cause. A former New Orleanian, this source spoke to me anonymously because she fears her relatives could be prosecuted for their crimes. "My uncle was very excited that it was a free-for-all?white against black?that he could participate in," says the woman. "For him, the opportunity to hunt black people was a joy."
"They didn't want any of the 'ghetto niggers' coming over" from the east side of the river, she says, adding that her relatives viewed African-Americans who wandered into Algiers Point as "fair game." One of her cousins, a young man in his 20s, sent an e-mail to her and several other family members describing his adventures with the militia. He had attached a photo in which he posed next to an African-American man who'd been fatally shot. The tone of the e-mail, she says, was "gleeful" - her cousin was happy that "they were shooting niggers."
"Jurassicpork" at "Welcome Back to Pottersville" sums it up well:
But this goes beyond mere race-based paranoia and becomes a massive, urgent commercial for the necessity of a functioning, efficient and community-engaged police department. Hurricane Katrina was certainly one of the greatest natural calamities to strike the United States but people like the Algiers Point militia, these little Count Zaroffs in waiting, far from acting out of any understandable concern for their property, used the total lack of law enforcement as an opportunity to murder black people simply for being black and getting caught on their turf. Far from being a siege mentality, the center of Algiers Point descended into barbarism at the first available opportunity, the minute the blue uniforms disappeared. The mere absence of law enforcement, in their minds, gave them a license to kill.
In other words, we've actually regressed several steps from the early 60's when three civil rights workers were murdered in Mississippi by white racists. J. Edgar Hoover's FBI had flooded the area with agents, did a thorough investigation and brought several men to justice (albeit for civil rights violations).
Fast forward to 2005-2008: No FBI, no local law enforcement, no autopsies, no records, no pending litigation, no nothing.
But killers and would be killers like this aren't confined to small areas of the US like NOLA and big city streets prowled by gangs and backwoods white supremecist enclaves. They've been exported to serve US interests in other areas of the world as well. (Does the epithet "sand nigger" ring any bells?)
I was more stressed as time went on. It had much to do with hearing some soldiers boast about their kills. I thought it was insane. I wrote in my journal, ?The Army makes use of and channels what would otherwise be criminal behavior using people who would otherwise be no more than criminals.? Lax enlistment standards have inadvertently allowed known members of the Crips, Bloods, Latin Kings, and various white supremacist groups to join the military. But no gang has infiltrated the armed forces as deeply as the Gangster Disciples, a 100,000-member Chicago-based syndicate that has been linked to an assortment of crimes ranging from murder to mortgage fraud. Now, with the unintended help of the U.S. Army, the gang is extending its reach worldwide. According to a Chicago Sun-Times article last year, Gangster Disciple graffiti has been spotted all over Iraq. The gang's initials and main symbol, the six-pointed star, have been tagged on concrete blast barriers, armored vehicles, and even remote firebase guard shacks. In an astonishing study of just three Army bases over the past four years, a Department of Defense detective identified more than 300 active gang members. Some experts estimate that up to 2 percent of the soldiers on active duty-perhaps as many as 20,000-have sworn allegiance to one gang or another. ~Gangs of Iraq
Who bears responsibility for these Iraqi deaths? The young soldiers pulling the triggers? The commanders who establish rules of engagement that privilege "force protection" over any obligation to protect innocent life? The intellectually bankrupt policymakers who sent U.S. forces into Iraq in the first place and now see no choice but to press on? The culture that, to put it mildly, has sought neither to understand nor to empathize with people in the Arab or Islamic worlds? ~Andrew J. Bacevich, What?s An Iraqi Life Worth?
Maybe, both at home and abroad, it's more than just a few bad apples at the bottom of the barrel. Maybe, as has been demonstrated in regard to Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo, the racism, the cruelty, the psychopathy, the evil blood lust, is at the top as well. God help those caught in between.
The ugliest truth is that our civilization is built on three unspeakable holocausts, each justified by a White racist ideology, causing the murder of millions, each committed with impunity: (1) acquiring free land at gunpoint while systematically brutalizing hundreds of Indigenous cultures; (2) acquiring free labor by force from ancient Indigenous cultures in Africa by violent removal of those who survived capture; and (3) acquiring cheap resources, labor and markets through thousands of overt and covert interventions at gunpoint into more than 100 countries.
...From the 1790s to the early 2000s, the U.S. military overtly intervened more than 500 times in over 100 nations to pursue its hegemonic designs (and thousands of covert interventions). One military study revealed that between 1869 and 1897, the U.S. Navy made 5,980 port calls to further U.S. commercial and political advantages. Virtually all U.S. wars and interventions have been masked under elaborate rhetorical pretexts, such that we learned an extraordinarily censored version of history. The U.S. military and various police agencies have also intervened hundreds of thousands of times domestically.
The pattern has been consistent: either people will assimilate into the White culture, or be eliminated by it. White supremacy is the cult and we have all been subjected to it - either in complicity with it, or to be crushed by it. In the case of the November '08 Mumbai attacks, however, the woman is difficult to find. Especially since it does not appear that any officials are looking for her.
As we should all be aware by now, due to an abundance of dutifully unquestioning press reports, there were only 10 terrorists[1] actively involved in carrying out the attacks. All of them were young, male, militant Muslims from Pakistan.[2] They washed down their food with forbidden alcohol[3,4] and took illegal drugs[5] to remain awake and energetic (and hallucinating?) during the long siege. Of those 10, 9 were killed and positively, incontrovertibly identified (exactly how and how surely we are not told) while 1 was taken into custody and is now singing like a bird.[6]
That's the official story: 10 terrorists, no more, despite contrary earlier reports that there seemed to have been dozens[7], possibly belonging to more than one group[7] (although you'll notice that even then all the likely groups pointed to are all Pakistani and none are Hindu extremists who have been guilty of attacks in their own country), and that almost as many, if not more than 10, were listed as killed or taken into custody[8] on just the second day of the 3-day carnage alone. Also, none of the terrorists were blonde and none fair-skinned[9] or white[10], contrary to eyewitness accounts. None of the terrorists were Hindu or Indian, in spite of looking[11] and sounding[12] as though they may be or may have been. And, most assuredly, none of them were female[13], also contrary to eyewitness accounts (and even one report that cosmetics[14] had been found aboard the trawler the 10 terrorists were alleged to have hijacked, leaving one to wonder why officials would even mention that, as well as to wonder why a terrorist, female or not, would have brought cosmetics along on such an operation).
At any rate, according to the times given, the terrorists came ashore in a boat (or boats) between 7 and 7:30 PM or around 8:45 PM (or both). 10 men were seen taking 1 large backpack each from 1 boat and then splitting up and leaving in pairs to begin their terror strikes in different locations; but 10 men were also seen unloading bags from as many as 7 boats and taking them gradually to the Nariman/Chabad House. Also, 10 men were not seen as armed and so were not reported to authorities by a couple of interviewed onlookers; and yet 10 men were seen as armed and were reported to the authorities by at least 1 other watchful fisherman. Another source has is that the captured terrorist, "Ajmal Amin, the only militant arrested during the operation, told interrogators that the dozen ultras who sailed from Karachi had come to Sasool dock from where they were taken first to Cuff Parade and later to Gateway of India in boats arranged by a front man of Dawood, who runs several custom clearing houses in Mumbai, the sources claimed." [15, 16, 17, 18]
A young woman was also seen, by a shopkeeper in Colaba, accompanying a young man later identified by that shopkeeper as the sole surviving terrorist whose photos were everywhere published.[19] They purchased large amounts of chicken and liquor which, it is said, they then took to Nariman/Chabad House[4]. The first explosion and shootings at that location were reported, by an Israeli man who escaped the house, to have occurred about 5 minutes after 9 PM.[20] Other accounts say it was quite a bit later than that. Then, a couple hours or so after the CST railway station attack which began at 9:21 PM, a young man and woman were seen in the area of Cama Hospital, knocking on doors. She was wearing a burqa over salwar kameez.[19]
Additionally, there were two separate teams that attacked the hospital.[19] It was after 11:30 PM, according to one eyewitness, that an approaching police vehicle was fired upon by one of the fleeing teams, 3 bodies were dumped from it, and two terrorists took the vehicle and tried to get away.[21] They were stopped at the metro junction,[22] one killed and the other captured, we are told. The captured terrorist confessed to the murders of the 3 officers from the vehicle.
So what happened to the woman? Did she live to escape or did she die? Who was she? Could her identity provide any kind of clue to what really happened and who really was involved? What are authorities intentionally hiding from the public and why? What are they intentionally divulging and why? How much of what they say can and will be legitimately proven? What they have offered thus far as proof is not proof: saying they have proof is not proof; even confessions are not proof when confessions can be false or can be forced; even evidence is not proof when evidence can be manufactured and planted; and even proof of the guilt of some does not mean that others may not have been guilty as well (such as the more powerful who are known to use the less powerful as patsies and mercenaries) especially when the connections between terrorists, organized crime and the intelligence agencies of interested parties are not exactly a secret and the desires of beyond-state actors who exercise influence and control over many states have been plainly set forth for anyone with eyes to see.
It is interesting how such acts of terrorism require far less proof than other crimes and how authorities claim that it is not only permissible but absolutely necessary to respond to such acts in ways that are otherwise considered entirely illegal and immoral. Because of terrorism, acting as judge, jury and executioner on the basis of flimsy evidence is ok, as is killing the families and destroying the villages of the accused; because of terrorism, using torture to extract information and confession is ok; because of terrorism, pre-emptive wars of aggression and violations of sovereignty are ok; because of terrorism, genocide and ethnic cleansing are ok; because of terrorism, democro-fascism is ok. Consider carefully who benefits from the War on Terrorism and, therefore, terrorism itself. It isn't "we the people".
So look for the woman, meaning, look beyond the obvious and apparent for those truly responsible for this terrible act. In this case, a literal woman is certainly not the cause of the attacks, but may still provide a key or at least a clue, even if she is never found or identified. It seems it would also be worth considering the presence of white or fair-skinned foreigners who did not look like Muslim terrorists, according to more than one witness, including an officer. Surely there were more actively involved than the 10 terrorists now being blamed, and maybe those 9 bodies are not even the bodies of the actual terrorists. How can we know? Whose word are you willing to take for it? Is it even possible now to track down the other persons described, whether they be living or dead, who were nothing like the dead and captured terrorists now on display?
Regardless of what does or does not come from any further inquiries into the matter, don't we already know enough to call the official story into serious question? And don't we already know enough about who stands to gain the most and whose hands are already dirtiest in regard to such terrorist activities in the past? As with all such questionable and contradictory acts of terrorism, just look for the woman wearing the neo-colonial corset under her burqa (speaking metaphorically).
Alot of planning and cultivation has gone into her disguise, so much so that no one dares look at the near-naked truth beneath, but rather will happily and readily accept the outward appearance of the dreaded Islamist enemy they've been continually prepped to fear and hate, no matter the reality.

The deputy state chief of Maharashtra, RR Patil, confirmed the commandos had caught one militant alive as they tried to flush them out of the hotels.
"They have held a few people hostages," he said. "Therefore, the operation is taking place at a slower pace. Five have been killed and one has been caught alive. We have got all the information." [What happened to this live one from the hotels?]

A shopkeeper at Colaba also claimed to have seen captured terrorist, Azam Amir Kasav, with a girl in a salwar-kameez on Wednesday afternoon. He said the two had come to his shop to buy food supplies. The shopkeeper who is currently out of the city on work, could not be contacted. However, his friend confirmed the news.
The shopkeeper's friend said, "He told me that when he saw Azam's picture in Mumbai Mirror on Thursday, he realised it was the same youth who had visited his shop with a woman, who was also young. He mentioned they had been like any other youths."
Employees of Cama hospital who live at staff quarters behind the hospital, claimed the terrorists had entered the hospital in two groups. "A man and a burqa clad woman entered from the gate opposite our quarters. The man started firing towards the hospital immediately after entering. Moments before, the woman, in a salwar kameez underneath her burqa, had even tried to enter the hospital by climbing a water pipe. As the man continued firing, the woman, who wasn't armed, knocked on one of the houses. They then asked the family for water. The woman tried to say something but when the family did not react, the man opened fire again. Those 5-7 minutes while they were knocking on the doors were horrifying," said one of the residents.
Residents added that the couple had then run towards a path that led to another gate, towards the common toilets before they disappeared. "As they ran, they kept firing to ensure no one came out of their quarters," said residents, pointing to bullet marks on walls.

It has been speculated that there was more than one group at work, and that their handlers kept them from being aware of each other and of the total plan, so that "If an operative were picked up by police, there would be no way for him to identify fellow plotters." Although the different groups thus speculated about were all Muslim, surely the same principle would hold true if this was a black op involving intelligence agencies of more than one country directing more than one type of group. You might have the public confusion we see now generated by one group being of Pakistani Muslim origin, another Hindu, another containing fair-skinned foreigners (including one blonde). It would also have given them an increased chance of the members of one group's characteristics being focused upon to the exclusion of the others. (Also consider the obvious frame-up of the GPS equipment and satellite phone left in the hijacked fishing boat.) And it would explain why the captured Pakistani terrorist (whose origins are also under dispute) that is often being quoted now would or could only identify 9 other Pakistani nationals when it is obvious that a good many more people, of varied descriptions and origins, were involved. It has been confessed that Indian officials received information and warnings of just such an attack well in advance. Less far in advance, fishermen have said that when they saw men with weapons getting out of boats and heading into town they called the police but the police took a long time to respond. A photographer witnessed armed police not firing back at the terrorists in the railroad station, even though he shouted for them to do so. That may be why it was reported earlier that no police responded to the scene there until a half hour after the attackers had left.

Terrorism and Islam do not mix. It is fine to cause terror to one's enemies by certain shows of strength and bravery, but the rules of engagement in Islam are very strict - no harm to children, women, the elderly, monks in monasteries, people sitting in places of worship, livestock, trees, wells; no torture of the living, no mutilation of the dead; and if the enemy wishes to make peace, Muslims must make peace. War is only to be made against those who attack Muslims, those who oppress and prevent the practice of Islam, and those who drive Muslims from their homes.

And so: A Muslim graveyard has refused to bury nine gunmen who terrorized Mumbai over three days last week, leaving at least 172 people dead and wreaking havoc at some of its most famous landmarks.
...."People who committed this heinous crime cannot be called Muslim," said Hanif Nalkhande, a trustee. "Islam does not permit this sort of barbaric crime."
Just Who Were The Terrorists?
The news tells us they were all (all few 10 of them; did it only seem like 100?) Pakistani nationals, some born in Britain, and trained by Lashkar-e-Taiba in Pakistan. But there are different reports with different numbers of dead and captured. Coverage by The World Today on Tursday during the attacks reported:
ELEANOR HALL: Sally, how many attackers do police think are dealing with?
SALLY SARA: We know that the attackers were going across seven or eight locations in the south of Mumbai. The police were saying that they have killed or arrested up to 13 of those attackers but how many more, it is unclear.
It is also possible that some of the gunmen were able to escape from the scene because it was so chaotic so a large number of terrorists involved in the attack across many locations - at the hotels as you said and also other places including a cinema and a hospital and a restaurant as well.
Of course, many are still rightly questioning the true number, identities and complete backing of the terrorists (as indicated in the opening paragraph), while others rush to judgment. Unfortunately, our governments' leaders are taking the lead in rushing to judgment while claiming they are not jumping to conclusions. With a little closer look, one will see that their careful inquiry is very narrow indeed.
And it seems it might have been fairly easy for anyone who perhaps "did not look like a Muslim terrorist" (such as those described as fair-skinned, one blonde?) to have tossed their weapons and got away, a possibility acknowledged in the news quote above. Consider the account of an Israeli national who escaped the site of one of the attacks, and even though he was set upon by nearby residents who thought he was one of the terrorists and beaten, he was then taken by police to a station and quickly released when they determined he was not a terrorist. Maybe he wasn't, but how did they determine such a thing "quickly"? By virtue of his being a Jew? an Israeli? not a Pakistani? not a Muslim? his having been in the building for some time prior to the attacks? What?
Then there is also the matter of not actually being able to identify the dead terrorists properly (apart from the earlier mentioned captured Pakistani naming nine dead ones). Both hostages' and terrorists' faces were said to be mutilated beyond recognition, but a Mumbai doctor also counters the reports that hostages at the Chabad house were tortured before death, saying their high number of wounds were from firearms.
The doctors who conducted the post mortem said the bodies of the terrorists were beyond recognition. "Their faces were beyond recognition."
There was no way of identifying them," he said. Asked how, if this is the case, they knew the bodies were indeed those of the terrorists, he said: "The security forces that brought the bodies told us that those were the bodies of the terrorists," he said, adding there was no other way they could have identified the bodies.
Now It's Up to All of Us
There is no such thing as Islamic terrorism. This was not an act of Islamic Jihad. Islam is a religion of peace with those who seek peace, war with those who seek war, and utmost care and respect for life and the Giver of Life, as evidenced by the careful rules for war. That is something all non-Muslims need to understand and all Muslims need to learn and live and teach. Inciting and carrying out acts of terrorism, whether overtly or covertly, whether for a good cause (helping the occupied and oppressed) or a bad one (occupation and oppression), whether by Muslims or non-Muslims (or Muslims directed by non-Muslims), is horribly, terribly wrong.
Now it's up to all of us, Muslim and non-Muslim together, to stop supporting those leaders and groups, governmental and non-governmental, Western and non-Western, who do not truly represent us and are truly responsible for any such acts of terror. We must not give in to fear and promises of mafia-like protection through loss of rights and more death and destruction. We must refuse the lies we are offered and search out the truth. We must bring the guilty - up to the highest levels - to account for their crimes - lawfully and specifically, not by the ruthless and indiscriminate killing of more children, women, elderly, and noncombatants right along with "suspects" and "allegeds" in "counterterrorism" attacks that actually are terrorism and spread terrorism rather than countering it; and not ignoring the true directors and instigators of these terrorist attacks while going after the directed and instigated; not ignoring the 'ticklers' while focusing on the 'tickled'; and not labeling legitimate resistors of occupation as terrorists if they don't target non-combatant civilians in acts such as this.
Please. Enough.
